He Calls Me Friend
by: Rev. Dr. Brenda Furlow
Knowing about God and knowing God are not the same. Knowing God is a wonderful thing because having known God is a way to remember how and where we met God in a prior circumstance in our life; it's our history with God. When we know God, His character shows up in us because we have formed a relationship with Him.
I have come to understand that it is a blessing to know God, but the greater blessing is that God Knows Us. He knows our name, He knows our struggles, He knows our ups, our downs, our secret sins, our acquaintances, and everything about us; and still He calls us friend. What a friend we have in Jesus!!!
